Well, this is it! I think the year went very well. I believe the children are ready to go on to second grade. I am proud of the way they have grown. I am especially happy with their progress in reading.
Thank you for all your support. You, the parents, are such an important part of your child's success in school.
This is a very close knit group of children, lively, generous, and so fun to be around. And they love their parents very much. All year long I have heard little stories about you, and their pets, and friends, and places they have been. They're endearing stories that gave me a glimpse into their little lives, and allowed me to share a part of them. Sending a group on to the next grade is always bittersweet for me. Of course I'm happy that they move on as they should, yet I have had such sweet relationships with each one that I will miss that involvement in their lives. I hope that I have had a positive influence on them, and taught them well about their subjects, and also about how to live well and get along in a group, how to be kind, how to think of others. They have blessed me with their innocence and sincere love. I pray they will go on to live happy, successful lives.
