This week, 3/8 to 3/12 in my classes.
GEOMETRY - After completing geometric probability, we will begin to review Chapter 5 with a Chapter test scheduled for Thursday, 3/11.
ALGEBRA - We will practice factoring by grouping and factoring polynomials that contain two factoring patterns. We will also introduce the zero-product property and solving equations by factoring. Test Wed. 3/10 on all 7 factoring patterns and factoring completely.
SOCIAL STUDIES 8 - In Chapter 26 we will study the years from 1939 to 1945, World War II. Students will prepare slide show presentations which will serve as investigation and review prior to testing. Home research and studying should continue on the days we work in the computer lab.

MATH 6 - In our current unit of Geometry we will find areas of irregular figures, as well as area and circumference of circles. Calculators are required when working with circles. We will quiz on these two topics on Fri. 3/12.
MATH 5 - In Chapter 4 we have grouped lessons from sections A, B, and C to create a Geometry Unit. This week we will find the area and perimeter of parallelograms as well as area and circumference of circles. We will add this information to our geometry notecards which must be brought to class each day. Calculators are needed when working with circles. We will test on the Geometry Unit on Fri. 3/12.
