FEBRUARY 23,2010
We are so happy to be back in school after our long snow break. We returned to learn about our presidents, especially Washington and Lincoln. We are learning about our nation's capital and the importance of the buildings there. A "tour "of Washington via books and pictures lends itself to vital learning.
Our math classes have been exciting because we are learning about telling time and money.
Lent is our focus in Religion class. Our mosaic crosses turned out beautifully and are on display in our classroom.
The letter/sound correspondance of the letter k is being learned. A basic review of the letters and their sounds will wrap our month of February.
Our student teacher, Mrs. Gitter, is teaching a full day in our classroom. She will complete her time in kindergarten on March 12th. , then off to our 4th. grade she will go for the remainder of her time in our school. She is doing a great job and is well liked by everyone.
We are doing so much in our classroom. Don't hesitate to stop by and enjoy the wonderful work. the children are creating.
As always,
Mary Lou Colaizzi
